Steps to reproduce:

1 searched for a bug using "scroll bar disappearing" as search terms

returns - Zarro Boogs found.
created bug - Bug 1070686 - scroll bar disappears after use 


Actual results:

returns - Zarro Boogs found.

Expected results:

Bug 1066934 - FF32: Skinned scrollbars thumb disappear upon scrolling a page at specific zoom percentage
should have been found as the first three words of the search are in the title of the filed bug

So you are asking for a default search backend that supports stemming [1], like ElasticSearch?

stemming does appear to cover this search request, as bug 1066934 described and fixed (ff33) what was happening in bug 1070686, so this would have meant a better search result and less entries in bugzilla
