Persona is great but annoying to deal with locally. We should have a command-line and/or config.py option that automatically logs the user in with a fake account. Call it --fake-login=<email> or fake_login = <email>. This would cause anyone loading the page to be automatically logged in as the given email address. There should be a large warning in the header that fake-login mode is engaged.

Comment on attachment 8495678 [details] [review] wip patch(v1) As discussed, good start, but I want to be able to specify an email address on the command line, e.g. --fake-account user@example.org. Shouldn't take much more work to get there; just a global variable and some sort of preprocessing function (something that executes very early) that sets session['email'] to the value of that global if it's anything other than None.

This seems to be a duplicate of Bug 1073348. If that's the case maybe we can close this one.
Huh yeah, not sure how that happened. Must have forgotten that I filed it, or thought the transaction didn't go through, or something... Anyway thanks!
