Hi, I'm looking at 2.1 build and we do have three states: Volume 1 to 10, Volume 0 / Vibrate and silent. So I'm not sure what you're asking for?

Hey Jenny
I think i got confused. I don't know what I thought while raising this.
Anyways, Let me ask you.
I was thinking why don't we have:
1. separate volume state which goes from 0 to 15 (depending max for a channel).
2. separate vibrate state.
3. separate silent state.
When volume = 0, it should not show go to vibrate/silent state.
complete 3 different states no mixing between them.
I am confused. but please give it a thinking. If it is doesn't make sense then I will resolve the issue.

When volume is down to 0, the device WILL be silent by it's definition (or silent+vibrate which is what we have now), so the correct grouping is
1) Volume 1 to 15 - vibration can be on or off at this time, depending on the setting (see vibration setting in Sound).
2) Volume 0 / Vibrate - no sound coming out from device at this time, but device will vibrate.
3) Silent - no sound and no vibration.
I personally think this makes sense and this is how Android behaves too. Thanks!
