This bug is specifically about fixing OS X's shellservice implementation not to error out in this case. Note that the error isn't particularly harmful, as far as I can tell - setting the default browser seems to still work fine.

Steven, do you have time to pick this up? I looked into it earlier but (a) had issues checking if we were on yosemite because the shell service can't link to the relevant symbols, and (b) I unfortunately need to focus on other items on the priority list for now...
