From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.5) Gecko/20011012 BuildID: 20011001201 open dialog bahaves buggy if I try to open folder with no permision to open - it is in Browser file open and Mail client this bug shows e.g. if I try to open folder /root and I am a normal user - list of files and folders hides names and I can push only cancel button Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.File - Open File 2.open folder /root but you have to have no permission to open this folder Actual Results: list of files and folders hides names and I can push only cancel button Expected Results: Mozilla should show a messagebox with information about the permission to this folder

i believe this was fixed recently by bryner. now you'd get a dlg saying you don't have permissions to view such a dir. have you tried a recent build?
