Last year we implemented bug 922742 to prompt users to update. The versions that displayed the prompt were hard coded so now they are also out of date. Ricky just updated them again today, but we'll run into this issue again soon. The prompts should know what version is the latest and update accordingly.
next sprint. should be easy to have the latest version dymamic. not sure if there is a way to figure out what the ESR is. If there isn't we could just keep it static and remember to update it every X months that a new ESR comes out.

Take a look here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/ Every seventh release will be a new ESR. We could plan for that and then manually intervene if something changes.
We can probably use the data in the DB that we currently use for showfor for this. It still requires a manual update, but it isn't a code change.
Putting this in the backlog and wait for tabzilla to implement it nicely.
