>> Feature Request Title: Provide a push to Firefox Desktop feature >> Description of feature, or problem to be solved The current problem is that the integration between Firefox Desktop and Firefox OS is not very tight. Also, simply sharing from a Firefox OS phone to your desktop/laptop is not very easy either. Bluetooth is not easy to enable on desktop, especially Windows for example. So this feature would be an extra sharing service that can be accessed by each app share menu, that would be called "Push to Firefox Desktop". It would support files, tabs, and images, ... This would use our Firefox Accounts system. >> Impact of implementing the feature/solution If this solution was implemented, it would save plenty of time for users to push photos, tabs, and files to your computer. This is also useful for developers to send screenshots quickly to their computer. >> Impact of NOT implementing the feature/solution If this solution were not implemented, it would make sharing not very convenient, and no continuity between Firefox Desktop and Firefox OS. >> Date required I'd say December 2014, with the release of 2.0.
Hi Tim, I agree that this would be very cool and it is something that we should consider for the future. I don't think we'll make it a priority, however, as a significant proportion of our target users do not have a computer.
