Over the weekend I attempted to install Here Maps over a high latency 3G connection with high packet loss. The installation failed. A placeholder "down arrow" icon was placed on the screen that allowed me to re-download the app. I clicked on the icon, and waited another 10 minutes for the download to fail again. There are two problems here, and perhaps these should be filed as separate bugs. 1. Since I was no longer at the app store, I had no idea how large the installation was. On a metered connection, multiple installations of a large app like Here Maps is expensive. 2. I had no idea how far through the download I made it. The "down arrow" icon changes to have a spinner around the icon, but the spinner spins forever instead of giving any indication of how far through the download I was. Expected: 1. Before re-downloading, show how large the app is and ask the user to confirm. 2. The spinner icon should be replaced with a status indicator, perhaps something similar to iTunes where the outline shows how far through the download the user is.

Mass update: Resolve wontfix all issues with legacy homescreens. As of 2.6 we have a new homescreen and having these issues open is confusing. All issues will block bug 1231115 so we can use that to re-visit any of these if needed.
