From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.5+) Gecko/20011029 BuildID: 2001102913 The 1 pixel line renders as what appears to be the standard font height. There seems to be no attribute that works to force it to render the row as 1 pixel. The link shows an extremely simple case to reproduce. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to the specified link 2. 3.

The image is rendering as 1px high, but there is space _below_ the image (if you had used a non-transparent image this would be obvious). Please read bug 22274. This is correct behavior in strict mode (which the page is in). Bug 22274 describes some ways of getting the effect you want in strict mode. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 22274 ***

Yep, also see http://developer.netscape.com/evangelism/docs/articles/img-table/ for an article on this. Verify dupe.
