The 1 pixel line renders as what appears to be the standard font height. There
seems to be no attribute that works to force it to render the row as 1 pixel.
The link shows an extremely simple case to reproduce.

WFM... current cvs linux: pixel.png is 1 px high
The image is rendering as 1px high, but there is space _below_ the image (if you
had used a non-transparent image this would be obvious).

Please read bug 22274.  This is correct behavior in strict mode (which the page
is in).  Bug 22274 describes some ways of getting the effect you want in strict
mode.
