Confirming that we're not creating a template. Instead, we are providing a graphic to fit in the FF and You template. If so, I will re-name this bug.

I believe this is in reference to a dedicated December email that we're going to send to the FF&You list. My understanding is that we do need a custom template, but would like Kelli or Andrea to confirm.

Hi all! Erika you are correct. We will not be altering the FF & Y template, just need assistance with a graphic to include in the email. They are undergoing a redesign now so I don't have the specs just yet, but we'll just hand over the image + code to the FF&Y folks.

Just re-upped the email I sent Jessilyn & MJ last week to confirm dimensions, but I assume we can just use standard email call-out dimensions. In the past I've usually used 250x250 but I'm not sure about this years designs - alter it as necessary depending on whether it's a square or rectangle. 

Also there was discussion offline of making a CO with Mitchell's face, any chance one of you know where we've got an image of Mitchell we can use or is this something I should track down elsewhere?

hey all -- sorry for the delay on this. I was still waiting to hear back from the FF&Y folks but have got an update.

I spoke with Jessilyn this evening, and she said with this particular email we can design whatever we want, whatever specs we want. 

Additional context:

We will (of course) be running tests because the FF&Y is wonderful, so the first email will go out December 20, second email will go out December 30. The email will be sent from Mitchell Baker, and while the copy is not yet finalized, the overall tone will be along the lines of 'Mozilla, the non-profit behind Firefox, is working continuously to protect the Web. We've done a lot over the past 1 years but need Mozilla now more than ever. Your support helps keep the web open accessible, transparent"

I'll have a full draft by COB Wednesday, however, copy won't be finalized and through the hoops until next week at the earliest. 

Sabrina -- do you think it'd be possible to come up with two call-outs? I think this would be a great test. Do you have capacity? Since this is going to 14 million people or so would love to have your talent and skills behind it if possible. The standard (and what we used last year) is 250x250, but again, if you want to get creative the team is totally fine with that, whatever we want. 

Will get you general draft once it's done, but wanted to provide this context in the mean time. Anything else I can provide that may be helpful?

Do you have examples from last years call outs? If you have any test that shown if photography or illustrations tested better that would be helpful on the direction and will keep in mind of the tone.
