From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.5+) Gecko/20011030 BuildID: 2001103021 I tried doing a search using this form with the keyword "security" and pressed the Submit button. The server returns an error page stating "Error 400--Bad Request". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the URL. If you can't get there directly using that URL, go to www.ieee.org/conferencesearch and click on "Start a search here". 2. Type in "security" as the keyword. I left the rest of the fields with their default values. 3. Press the Submit button. Actual Results: The server responded with: Error 400--Bad Request From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1: 10.4.1 400 Bad Request The request could not be understood by the server due to malformed syntax. The client SHOULD NOT repeat the request without modifications. Expected Results: Using Netscape 4.78, I found the expected results to be a list of search results with names of conferences as follows: Here are the results of your search. Click on a selection to see full details. 2001 IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy 13 May - 16 May 2001 2001 IEEE Workshop on Information Assurance and Security 04 Jun - 06 Jun 2001 2001 IEEE 14th Computer Security Foundations Workshop 11 Jun - 13 Jun 2001 2001 IEEE International Carnahan Conference on Security Technology 16 Oct - 19 Oct 2001 2002 IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy 12 May - 15 May 2002 2002 IEEE International Carnahan Conference on Security Technology 21 Oct - 23 Oct 2002
Confirmed. Maybe the server hasn't heard of RFC 2616. ->Networking

interesting... this site works correctly with NS6.2, so perhaps something has regressed :(
Darin, can you actually reproduce this? I'm not seeing this using build 2001110708 on Linux.
This doesn't show up anymore in Build 2001111406 (PC/Linux). Maybe the people operating the server have fixed their server.
