Do you get the same error if you run Firefox in the Firefox safemode ? http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
Hey Matti ... Thanks for getting me on track for troubleshooting. I don't know where my head was ... (no comments please) ... started in safe mode and the parsing error disappeared ... disabled all add-ons and re-enabled them one at a time ... so far the Parsing Error message has stayed disappeared.
Typically add-on issue.
