User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0
Build ID: 20140923175406
Steps to reproduce:
* Make thunderbird full screen by clicking the diagonal up/down arrows in the top right corner of the window.
* Click "write" to compose a new message - the new message window will open as another full screen window.
* Close the new message.
Actual results:
The desktop that the compose window was in does not go away. When you switch (using the swipe gesture on the trackpad, for example) to that desktop, you get a grey screen and then it slides back to where you were previously. You also cannot swipe over to the main thunderbird window.
Expected results:
The desktop that the compose window was on should be cleaned up and I should be able to swipe over to thunderbird.

Able to replicate bug on OS X 10.9 with latest trunk repo code, so confirming.
I didn't do a extensive search for duplicates of this bug. On the same category, OS Integration, I found bug 691208 -which is unrelated to this one-.
Bug 691208 comment 3 by Mitra Ardron says that full-screen feature on Firefox is buggy. So, I am supposing Thunderbird one is not better :(
Some clarification should I do:
- when opening Write window, it is opened as a new full-screen window, so no red button could be clicked to close window.
- when clicking on File/Close menu -keep mouse pointer up on the screen until menu bar appears- what really happens is that main TB window closes
- as comment 0 tells, a new desktop is kept, empty.
