RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 167320

People

(Reporter: nzskiwi+mozilla, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/38.0.2125.101 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Open .tiff file from desktop with Firefox.
When firefox prompts for what to do with file choose open with firefox and select open automatically from now own.

On Windows 8.1.1 64 bit.

Actual results:

Firefox loops into the future creating new tabs

When killed firefox tried to open all the tabs (1003) again

Expected results:

should have opened image in browser (i.e. using browser as an image viewer)
File was way too big sorry. (207MB)
It happens because Firefox doesn't handle TIFF format, so if you assign firefox.exe to TIFF (in Options/Applications), Firefox will call firefox.exe each time it tries to open it.
