In my AB, I have av@netscape.com and andreww@netscape.com entries.  I typed
"andreww" all the way out and autocomplete chose to complete with the "av"
entry.  (These entries have the full name spelled out etc and the completion was
shown in the address widget using the ">>" syntax.)  To get the correct entry, I
must explicitly choose from the dropdown widget, hitting return got me the av entry.

Is this still happening to you?  This should have been fixed a while ago.  See

You're right, my cases seem to work now.
