Details

Mozilla fails to respond to keyboard after a couple of minutes of inactivity. No key-shortcuts work. Can't even type in a new url.
I can confirm this behaviour on a CVS 20011031 Linux build. In my case it did not occur after 'a few minutes of inactivity', but right after trying to open a new window with CTRL-N. Instead of a new window, I got a new TAB, and I could not enter anything into the location bar (or anywhere else). This behaviour did not affect other windows of the same Mozilla instance.

Bug report #107845 is not related. None of keyboard functions related to set mozilla instance work. If I start a new mozilla windows in the second window the keyboard windows do work in that one, and all subsequent windows. This is a very old bug that I have not come across in a long time.
Fixed by reinstalling mozilla 0.9.5...
