1. In Firefox Nightly, load `about:apps` (Tools > Apps) (https://marketplace.firefox.com/discovery/).
2. Click any app (e.g., SoundCloud) to load its Marketplace detail page.
3. Install the app.

4. Refresh `about:apps`.
5. Notice the installed app (SoundCloud) is still listed:

Product: if I already have an app installed should it be included in `about:apps` "9 Essential Desktop Apps" list?

When I go to about:apps in my Firefox Nightly on desktop, I get "The address isn't valid".
"about:apps" is how we call it, but it hasn't landed in the browser, at least not yet. It's live at https://marketplace.firefox.com/discovery/
I'm getting confused now.
There used to be about:apps in the desktop Firefox when you typed it in the url bar. Now, it is gone, and afaik, there is no way to see what webapps you've installed, using desktop Firefox.
On Firefox for Android, there is still an about:apps page.

I can't speak for the about:apps in Firefox on Android.

I can tell you that the about:apps that cvan is referring to was not intended to be the same as the about:apps in Firefox on Android (this is probably why it was removed, since that's confusing).

I'd be more inclined to have "about:apps" be consistent across Firefox, in general. The other ways to reach the page mat mentions (the page about:apps pointed to ever-so-briefly on non-Android) are: Tools->Apps and via customization in the hamburger menu.
