ClearOne unit for Torchwood seems to have a broken display. Possibly needs a RMA.

Hi Guillermo, could we please get the serial number of the unit? I believe this is the Chat 150 http://www.clearone.com/uploads/resource/802_156_003_DS_Rev2_1_CHATAttach_CHAT150_Datasheet.pdf

Or are you referring to the front panel of the 880 itself? http://www.clearone.com/uploads/resource/CONVERGEPro880_DS.pdf
It is the 880
Unit ID is 049F7DF5

Was this resolved this week?
Yes! I opened up the clearone 880 unit, pulled the ribbon cable going to the display and circuit board, re crimped & reseated the ribbon cable, checked a few others cables and tested with power and display started working without any issues. Reinstalled the unit and again applied power and checked setting and played with the screen contrast and seemed to be working great. Onsite tech to watch and keep us advised. Onsite tech asked me to only load new firmware to 2 displays to see if this fixes the issue or not. I loaded new firmware to the 2 displays in the café locations. Both displays took the firmware good and without any issues. Please advise when to come back and do the rest.
Marking our case 217 please confirm, thanks

Checked the Clearone again today and it was no displaying anything on the LCD again. We should just replace at this place. The firmware on the ambient displays has not shown the issue again.

Requested RMA processing from Clearone today, sorry this was delayed
We need to verify the SN for the Clearone is this room before we can RMA It should be all numbers, XXXX-XXXX or XXXX-XXXX-XX, and it is found on a separate label on the rear of the case. You may want to check if the contrast levels in the front panel haven’t simply been turned down too far. Unfortunately you can’t see the menus to navigate, but if you look carefully at a steep angle from the screen you may see a very light image. If you can, simply adjust the contrast back to normal values using the SELECT button, then move the wheel one click to the right, hit SELECT, then move the wheel two clicks to the left, then hit SELECT, then move the wheel to the right until you can see the screen again. Hit select to save the new contrast value.
AVDG has been on site to attempt repair already. This is the second time on this unit. The last repair did not take. Please process RMA. I assume the AVDG staff would have checked this last time when they tried reseating the cable and it did not take. If this needs another look please dispatch a tech to check.
We can visit this room on Wednesday 12th, please confirm availability or let me know who to call to confirm schedule. Thanks
Room is reserved from 10:30 - 1PM on 11/12/14
All, I went out there on 11/12/14 and power cycled this unit and the screen came back on without any flickering or issues seemed to be working fine. I was able to take pictures of the front screen everything working good and got the serial number off the back. Aaron and Robb were out there yesterday and seen the the front LCD screen is now upside down and reversed really wacky. I have already started a RMA with clear one to get an advance replacement sent to us so we can swap this one out. The system appares to be functioning fine so we are going to leave in place unit the new unit is in. Clear one Case # 78562
Installed new unit, loaded dsp file, tested & all working great. Please close case. Thanks!
