From Bugzilla Helper:

I'm sometimes having problems when moving mail from IMAP-folder to another. This
only happens rarely, but needs restarting whole Mozilla ;(
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. I select some messages
2. Right-click, select folder to move them into
Actual Results: Browser says: "The current command did not succeed. The mail
server responded: Empty message to APPEND."
Expected Results: Should move messages to selected folder.
If I recall right, this only happens if I move several mails at the same time. I
guess this happens at least twice a week, mostly four times, depending my
email-reading addiction. ;-)
After error-message, I try to read mails I had chosen to move to see, what
happened. One message seems to be empty: selecting it shows nothing on
message-part of news&mail-window. Nor do selecting View -> Message source. After
restarting Mozilla, I can read the mail and try moving it okay (usually succeeds).
I've tried updating my imapd but it made no difference. I'll attach a imap.log
of the transaction with server later.
