There are plans for a daily newsletter, this will require an RSS feed to be consumed by exact target. At this time I suspect this will need to be a custom feed.

According to Anthony this will need to contain the 'top 6' stories from each day.

The following questions need to be answered:
- What defines top 6 stories
- If these are manual how do editors choose
- If these are manual what do we do if they none are chosen for a day?
- Can the top 6 stories be automated.
This bug will capture the requirements for providing Exact Target with RSS data for email newsletters. Reqs should go in user story.

I'm thinking that the top stories would need to be a hybrid of automated an manual (curated). If people sign up for a newsletter they're either not going to care about it, or they will really care that they're getting the top 6 stories each and every day (if that's what we tell them they're going to get). Thoughts on automated top-6: number of views, number of comments, number of shares, or some combination of these. If they wanted to curate a top 6 for the day, it would override the automated selection. And to keep things simple, it would be either/or -- if they curate *any* for the day it would override *all* top stories. I wonder if we could set up each day's top stories to be a distinct RSS item in itself, rather than having the whole RSS feed be just the 6 items.
