I'd like to see a "focus" check gauge that shows the current contrast detected in the scene out of the maximum contrast detect threshold. This gauge can be invaluable to help the user determine if they have focused the scene properly when tapping to focus, and can also be invaluable for helping the user determine the close focus distance of the camera. Attached is a screenshot of how that gauge looks on a Fuji camera.
