1080366 - After downloading an update for ChatZilla, my Userlist in-client suddenly has spaces between each user, instead of having a condensed view. Looking for assistance to fix this. Another issue is a neon-blue chat bubble on my bottom right of my window.

Steps to reproduce:

ChatZilla on XULRunner has prompted me for an update. Having accidentally clicked yes (and being unable to find any way to locate an Update page so I could say "no" to updates), and after being subject to a small power outage has found me forcing ChatZilla to update.


Actual results:

My problem pertains to a display inside of ChatZilla--more specifically, the Userlist and a new option that has popped up, so to speak, on the bottom right of my client. There is (in my opinion) a gross space between each user in the Userlist. Previously, this has not existed before (the users in the userlist were condensed) and I cannot find any way to change it back to how it once was. There is nothing in the options, nothing in preferences, nothing I can reasonably locate in the Advanced Configuration menu.


Expected results:

I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up when I accidentally clicked the Yes button to update. I switched over from my Mozilla Firefox in-browser ChatZilla application to the standalone ChatZilla on XULRunner when this first occurred, and my problem was solved. This update has since brought the problem back to fruition. In the included file/screenshot, I've marked down with red circles with the problem is. There was -not- such a large gap (in my opinion) between every user. There was no neon/light blue chat bubble on my bottom right.

The users were condensed and this bubble was never such a color to begin with. I've asked in relevant IRC channels for assistance and information, but what I've managed to get was never presented clearly for me to understand, or others had no idea how to help me.

There is no option for fixing any of these. I cannot locate any solution, and what little I've found was as far back as even 2004, a decade ago. This might seem minor to anyone else, but the fact that I cannot fix this to my liking is distressing, and I apologize for anyone who thinks it is just a problem of personal opinion.

If anyone could help me, I'd greatly appreciate the assistance. Forgive me if I don't seem knowledgeable about browsers or IRC clients; I really am not.

I'm sorry but BugZilla is not a forum for assistance and especially not for ChatZilla on XULRunner - that is not officially supported at all.

The userlist spacing is, as far as I know, nothing to do with ChatZilla's code and the change results from an upgrade to the core code (shared with Firefox) - this is not part of ChatZilla and this would be the wrong place to have that changed.

The new statusbar icon (the speech bubble) is for the notifications feature from bug 622714. If you think the icon is in some way inappropriate or could be improved, you should file a new bug with constructive comments on it.
