Details
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/find-code-to-add-device-to-firefox-sync has right near the top of the article "Important: Firefox Sync requires the latest Firefox..." - but this is in-fact wrong - the article talks about "legacy" sync rather than the Firefox Accounts based sync. At a minimum it should mention that this is for older versions of firefox and link to documentation about the new sync.

Mark, we've changed the messaging to:
"This article applies to an old version of Firefox Sync. The new Firefox Sync now uses a simple sign in and does not require device codes. See this <link>support article</link> for instructions on how to update."
Is this a correct way of capturing it?

That sounds great. FTR, Firefox 29 is the first "new" version it doesn't apply to.
