linux x86 2001-10-31-08 While viewing the URL given above, click on one of the white paper links (pdf files, so this may only work if you've defined a helper application for PDF files). The tab's title will change to "(Untitled)". I would expect that the tab's title should not change.

You can get the same effect at: http://www.mozilla.org/releases/ If you click to download any of the files. I'm using 0.9.6

Personally I think that the tab's title should change to the URL, because that's what you see in session history.

i see this often when one of my tabs is the tbox page [http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showbuilds.cgi?tree=SeaMonkey]. initially the tab title will correctly say 'tinderbox: SeaMonkey'. and even when it periodically reloads, the title will often remain correct...but somehow, some time, the title will become 'Untitled'. not sure what would cause this...

The icon also changes back to the default icon. I just experienced it downloading 0.9.7 on windows. Also shouldn't the OS be All?

the tabs title changes to "Untitled" whenever you download something that opens the download dialog (box with progress bar that shows how much has downloaded). I've also noticed that if I have try to use a tab to access a URL that doesn't exist (or more often if my internet connection isn't up) this also names the tab "untitled" is there any relationship?

I have a difrent aspect on the Bugg. When you load a frame set in a tab. You get the title of the frameset in the tab's title, and thats okey. If you the click on a link (a href) that change the uri off a frame. It doesnt matter if you have a title or not in that frame or in the frameset or any where the browser tab's title always gets "untitled". But the window still has the title from the frameset. I think this is the sam bug. And I am suprised no one have mentioned this before. It's quite an enoying bug. My browser version is 2002020406.

vrfy'd fixed using 2002.07.25 comm TRUNK builds on linux rh7.2, win2k and mac 10.1.5. tested by opening a new tab containing links to non-html content (pdf, doc, etc), then clicking on the links to launch the appropriate helper application. the tab title remains unchanged (does not change to "Untitled").
