What problems would this solve? =============================== To help highlight new features and inform users how to use them, we should look at adding something like Intro.js to MDN. See http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/introjs-step-by-step-guide-tutorial/ "Related libraries" section for more options. Who would use this? =================== users What would users see? ===================== a tour What would users do? What would happen as a result? =================================================== see the link above Is there anything else we should know? ======================================
This is a port from GitHub: https://github.com/mozilla/kuma/issues/1966
Cool idea! I would welcome a patch using a 3rd party library that added a simple (only a few steps -- 3 or 5) introduction to the editing experience for brand new editors. It should be behind a waffle flag. I would like to split test it to learn whether it creates more first-time editors than the default experience. Removing this from [productwanted] -- it is not a candidate for the roadmap at this time, but would be an awesome experiment for someone with time to run. If an interested contributor wants to try it, reach out in #mdndev.
