This is the background image we are currently using on the new homepage:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mozilla/bedrock/implement-homepage-redesign/media/img/home/voices/mosaic-background.jpg
Problems to solve:
1. Not make it any larger, in fact, make it smaller (both physically and file size). Not just for user bandwidth, but also layout performance.
2.Can we come up with some kind of generic pattern / repeating graphic that we could use? They could still be faces, but maybe avatar-like or something more generic?

The faces seem so essential to the concept though...not sure how it would work with a pattern or something more generic...

This is a bug to explore options post launch :)
Is there a way to have fewer faces repeat and improve page performance, for example?

Closing. We can reopen when we have bandwidth to work on it.
