Steps to reproduce:
Began having problems a few days ago with lost calendar entries- the items remained on my google calendar but disappeared from Thunderbird/ Lightning. I have two calendars- one that syncs w Google and one that doesn't...the "lost" items were from the Google synched calendar...the other one was OK. Today, when checking the version of Tbird, my system began updating to version 31.2.0 (prev was 24.6.0). After this, the system checked for an update to Lightning. After attempting to upload, the system said there was an error. Now I have no calendar at all in Tbird. I'm hesitant to reload Lightning (as new) as I don't want to wipe out the calendar entries that I had.

It seems DUPE to me.
Jim, please, could you go to bug 1079659? It contains some advices to fix the problem.
