Details
The correctness of the /status telemetry data is seriously in question. We should remove it and the machinery that feeds it.

If we're feeling ambitious we can provide a statsd compatible optional telemetry module, but I wouldn't block on it.

It's done. Pre-statsd/datadog we maintained a similar set of metrics in the database and displayed them at /status/. That's all removed now.
