User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/37.0.2062.124 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Updated my Firefox browser to latest version (33). Actual results: When newly installed browser is opened, it opens with a black homepage which I am unable to navigate from. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling three times, restarting the PC inbetween, with the same result each time. Expected results: Browser window should have opened normally after updated version installed.
It's a graphics issue due to OMTC new in FF33. Before disabling OMTC, could you test that, it's easy to do. 1) Start Firefox in safe mode from Windows (safe mode disables OMTC): Run (Windows+R) > firefox.exe -safe-mode 2) Then type about:support in the location bar and paste here the section "graphics". Following your answer, I'll provide more info.

Thanks, it's because your Intel drivers are too old. You should update them, see: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=&ProductID=3319&ProdId=3319 After that, Firefox will works normally without disabling the feature OMTC.
That said, it's a dupe of bug 1083071.
