Impact: Guided tour only cover the two specific features Fix: Expand tour to provide comprehensive introduction to FxOS privacy and security features. Also improve content to more accurately explain features and ensure accurate description of level of privacy protection offered (esp. geolocation accuracy)

This will be covered in version of PP to land in master for the next version, not for the OEM work. Is that fine?

A bit confused as to what next version means and OEM work means. Will this land before we launch the first version of privacy panel features or are you planning this for next release of privacy panel after first launch?

We plan to land this patch after we land the first version.

so this is needed or first version to go into production. SO you may not need to fix it immediately but for the code to move from dev_apps to apps and launch we need to address this.

The current Guided Tour only refers to the separate Privacy Panel app. As agreed in San Francisco, the focus is on this separate app for now, not integrating the advanced privacy features in the settings (where we demoed them in August). So you could see the Guided Tour as a tour through the Privacy Panel. For the upcoming implementations, in particular versions that are integrated in settings, a more comprehensive Guided Tour is planned. Thus we address the "Guided Tour on FxOS Privacy" that "expands tour to provide comprehensive introduction to FxOS privacy and security features" in the version that is planned to be integrated in FxOS and the settings. I guess this will be 2.2. Hopefully this provides the requested information, even for ptheriault@mozilla.com .
i can close this as WONTFIX and will let the NI on Paul to confirm if he is fine with this. I think it makes sense what Martin has explained above.

Please stop just closing these bugs without fixing them. To be clear, I'm not trying to stop landing here. My understanding was that you guys were landing an initial version to dev_apps, and then there would be ongoing work to improve the app etc in an effort to move towards a production version. Hence why all these security bugs block 1083953. If that's not the case, and this will be fixed at a later then, then fine, but don't close this bug, just move it. The bottom line is this is a security issue that needs to be addressed (or at least responded to!). Please either address the issue, or explain why you don't think it needs to be fixed before closing again.

I'm not sure about the difference between "respond" and "comment". The proposed solution is in my Comment 5. If keeping this bug open does not block landing the PP in apps and in the respective branch, I could live with "moving" it. However, our current plan is to expand and (a bit) restructure the guided tour. It has now 10 screens in a sequence which is already quite a lot. We will propose a more user friendly "tour" which will cover the existing FxOS privacy features as well. This will then be a "comprehensive introduction". all of this in the 2.2 version ...
