Now that almost all videos are recorded in HD. And this we can find out from the VidlySubmissions maybe we should show the videos in a bigger display. 
Attached is an extremely rough draft of what it could look like. 

The changes would mean that the sidebar would appear BELOW the video. Something that our currently DOM is not ready for yet. 

We should be able to support two ways of showing videos. The old way and this new way. It can possible depend on the video template used.

What if we just remove the sidebar from event pages?  We keep it for the main timeline and channel lists.

Then we need to think of a new place to put the Sign-in button.
