From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:0.9.5) Gecko/20011025 BuildID: Mozilla 0.9.5 = Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:0.9.5) Gecko/20011025 Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a file with a bgcolor attribute on the body element. 2.Open it. 3. I shall attach a test case shortly. Actual Results: Page appears with white background Expected Results: Page should have black background I created this file as a test case to file bug 108461 complaining that the bgcolor attribute applies to a whole mail message when the html is an attachment to plain text. To my surprise, when mailed as an attachment it does show that bug, but when opened, it shows this bug, with no black background.
Created attachment 56522 [details] Test case - should be white text on black background - renders as all white
invalid. The page uses <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> so we render it in standards mode. In standards mode, we require the "#" before the color name. Using bgcolor="#000000" works fine.
