STR: Make sure there are a couple photos in the phone. Open calendar app, then go to homescreen, and open gallery app. return to homescreen. Hold home button to initiate the card view. Expected: Galley card view shows the snapshot of what the app would look like when opened. Contact card view partially shows the snapshot of the opened app Actual: Gallery card view does not show the icons of the images, and Contact card is opaquely painted, with no details. Workaround: If screenshot is taken while in the card view, the images refresh. Another thing is, when orientation change is done while in card view, the cards are either stretched, or it shows the opaque card with little detail. When card view was initiated in landscape mode, the card view is displayed in portrait mode and does not change orientation to landscape, even when the orientation is changed multiple times.

The orientation issue is bug 1068925 and/or bug 1054949

Can you reproduce this without ever going into landscape during the session? Just wondering if it is a dupe of one of the bugs listed in comment 4, and we're just seeing a part of the card.

any update on this? it is not very critical, and I now see the dev option to turn off the screenshot on the cards view, but it is a regression, so wondering what's your thoughts on this.
Any idea about the regression range?

Note for qawanted: the bug that needs to be checks is only about the card view not showing the correct screenshot. No need to test for the orientation.

I'm pretty certain this is a dupe of bug 1107139. But there's no movement on that bug either so a regression window would be welcome - here or there.

This issue does not reproduce on the latest Flame 2.2 and Master. Result: The card view displays the snapshots of apps when they were open. If you use the STR from the description, you will see it about 2 out of 5 times. It also helps, if gallery app has about 4 photos rather than just 1 or 2.

oh, and one more thing i noticed recently is that if you hold the home button while running the gallery app, it is more likely to repro the graphics issue. I linked Bug 1107139 just in case its STR can repro more frequently. Thanks!

I am still unable to reproduce this issue. I'll add the qawanted keyword again for others to try.

I was able to reproduce this issue on Flame 3.0 and Flame 2.2 Cards are completely blank and lacking the details of the app. Environmental Variables: Device: Flame 3.0 (Full Flash)(KK)(319mb) Build ID: 20150204010225 Gaia: dfebaaa8aab43470f482d09d71137bab840c3ae9 Gecko: 0c2f7434c325 Gonk: e7c90613521145db090dd24147afd5ceb5703190 Version: 38.0a1 (3.0) Firmware Version: v18D-1 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:38.0) Gecko/38.0 Firefox/38.0 Environmental Variables: Device: Flame 2.2 (Full Flash)(KK)(319mb) Build ID: 20150204002509 Gaia: a4c4cc86303a554facb8f45b7e764e5c4473c3de Gecko: 8669c26fd4a5 Gonk: e7c90613521145db090dd24147afd5ceb5703190 Version: 37.0a2 (2.2) Firmware Version: v18D-1 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:37.0) Gecko/37.0 Firefox/37.0

It's quite intermittent, (one thing I noticed is that it is more prone to occur under memory pressure), so it might be harder to get the precise regression window.

I can reproduce gallery not showing any details in card view on Flame 2.0 and Flame 2.1. This issue has always existed to some degree.
