User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0 Build ID: 20141011015303 Steps to reproduce: - update to ff 33.0 - typing a URL into the address bar, nothing happens, just skips back to start page - only bookmarks work - and access via a link on a loaded page works - restarted in secure mode: address bar works fine Actual results: - another browser had normal access via the address bar - in secure mode it worked fine Expected results: - this is a browser - so it should be possible to surf... - don´t tell me to use about:config, when the address bar doesn´t work at all :-))) - I guess many users have this problem
>- restarted in secure mode It works in the safemode and not in the normal mode ? That is usually caused by extensions. Please disable your extension in the addon manager and try it again in the normal mode.

(In reply to Matthias Versen [:Matti] from comment #3) > no response and we had no other reports (AFAIK) Is a bug determined only by amount of reports? OS Windows XP, Windows 8.1. FF 33.0.1 STR: 1. Open FF browser 2. Clean the browser history (if there are any items) 3. Type in the address bar "www.portnov.com/ru" AR There is no list of search suggestions under the address bar. ER There is a list of search suggestions under the address bar. Here the screenshot of the issue: http://i.piccy.info/i9/3bc002aee2adc0c524cd21c5bf0d2742/1414491436/43624/820190/1.jpg
Alona: the reporter here filed his bug report for a complete different issue. Please read comment#0 again
(In reply to Matthias Versen [:Matti] from comment #5) > Alona: > the reporter here filed his bug report for a complete different issue. > Please read comment#0 again Thank you. The second sentence of STR is written incorrectly, and that knocked me up.
OK, deactivated all add-ons and address-bar is working fine. I will activate my add-ons one by one and then see which one was causing the problem.
