Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0 Build ID: 20141011015303 Steps to reproduce: On FF 32/33 on OS X 10.9.5 click on any download available at the internet the download will fail. Actual results: The download list shows "Failed" as a result. The temporary file (*.part) has been created and contains the load. The final file has been created too but is size of zero. This started on one of our Macs and seems to "spread" to some other Macs within the last few days. We use a server with OS X Server where all users have home folders so it looks like some sort of a network folder problem. Expected results: The file should be saved at the download location.
Because your server is bad-configured. I guess your server is used to create and download some PDFs or documents from internal applications. See bug 1083090 too.

Wrong guess unfortunately Loic, it is for any download on the Internet even the latest FF version. So I don't see a link to bug 1083740.

Can you show us a URL to a public resource you cannot download?
Daniel, any download will not work so https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-33.0-SSL&os=osx&lang=de is a good place to start.

Do you have Accounts with parental controls enabled (bug 1073134) ? Would it be possible to test a nightly build that contains a fix for that issue ? http://nightly.mozilla.org

Matthias, there are no parental controls enabled. I will check this twice today. I'm able to test with nightly builds over the weekend. Will come back with more informations.
Flags: needinfo?(riechie)
I have checked all settings twice over the weekend. Turns out there were no parental controls enabled but at the Workgroup Manager in Preferences the "Manage" setting was on "Always" at the server with no additional settings. With this set no downloads will be saved on the local Mac. So it is a duplicate of bug 1073134. Thanks for all your help.
