User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 Iceweasel/32.0.3 Build ID: 20140925101002 Steps to reproduce: Visit for exemple https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/contact/communities/ecuador/ Actual results: There is not contact info, its basically a blank page. Expected results: Its confusing to link to a contact page that don't provide any contact information. I suggest to delete the pages that don't provide any contact information (in this case a number of countries). This would also include to remove the highlight of these countries from the map on top of the page.

CCing a few people who should weigh in on this. The current PR proposes to remove these communities: * Argentina * Cuba * Ecuador * Uruguay * Croatia My concern is that it's unfair to symbolically erase these communities simply because we don't have more information to show. The community pages aren't just for contact information, they also serve as a central listing of all our active communities worldwide. I'd much prefer to solve this problem by filling in those mostly-empty pages with info instead of removing the pages entirely. Maybe we can send a renewed call out to folks in these communities to get some updated info?

Hi- Craig, I am in total agreement with you. This is not a unilateral decision and the PR needs to be reversed asap. I'm not entirely sure how this one got reviewed and pushed live, but it needs to be backed out. The CBT team and the www.mozilla.org team have final say in which communities are listed here. Thx, Jen

Yes, please undo this change. The better fix would be to reach out to the relevant communities and ask them to add more relevant details.

With a bit of googling I was able to find at least one link for each of these communities so their pages are no longer empty. Win-win!

Since these pages were already removed with bug 1084011, I'm repurposing this bug to restore them. Description updated.
Summary: Remove countries(communities) from /contact/communities that don't provide any contact information → Restore communities that were deleted with bug 1084011

Of course. Just want to be clear that I was asked to file the bug after a discussion on IRC, it was obviously not me who pushed the changes live and it was not my intation to upset anyone by the pull request.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Requesting the assistance of regional community managers for South America (Guillermo Movia) and Europe (Brian King) as they will have specifics on best handling. It is very important that we try to improve this content before pulling it. Thanks!

Hi all, so sad to see those changes, being a member of Argentina's community :). Let me know which information we need for each country and where update that information and I will do it ASAP

Understood, and please don't feel bad. You're right that those empty pages were useless as a place to find contact information, so in that sense it seemed perfectly logical to remove them. We've got some updated links now so we can put them back, no harm done. Thanks for your help!

I am curious, however, who you were speaking with on IRC that wanted the pages removed so that I can follow up with them too. Thanks!
