i used the "deactivate & mark all as spam" feature twice now (enjoyed it!) for spammers who posted five times, but on both instances the newest thread created by the user remained unflagged. those were the two instances... user profile1: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/user/ajayhfghg content that remained unflagged: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1027272 user profile2: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/user/raj547864 content that remained unflagged: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1027454

sometimes this fails also with more than just one question

I bet this is a caching issue, where the list of questions we get for a user is still cached and we miss the most recent ones. I'm not sure how to verify that though.

I can definitely confirm seeing this myself. In my tests last year, after deactivating a test account of mine I was still able to fill out a question, get to the last page of the form and hit submit. But as soon the question was submitted, I was immediately logged out and hit with a error page. Although that didn't stop the question from being posted.

the feature appears to work reliable for me now - maybe the caching issue has been addressed in a different bug.

Is this still an issue or should we close it out?

unfortunately (or rather fortunately) we didn't have any large spam waves in recent weeks/months, so i wouldn't know if it's still an issue. i guess for this reason we could deprioritize or even close this bug as WFM...
