i had some problems with mozilla and deleted my profile and created a new one
i was changing my prefs but none got saved
i then deleted my prefs.js to get a new one but now i never get a new prefs.js file

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.close mozilla
2.delete prefs.js
3.start mozilla
4.set a homepage
5.close mozilla (using menu or clicking x makes no difference)
6.check profile dir : no prefs.js file

Actual Results:  no preferences file

Expected Results:  a preferences file
