Details
If a user has a phone and and email address, they should be able to link them together within a client (desktop or FxOS for example), so that they can receive calls from either - in the case that a user only knows one of their addresses. See the url for more technical information. This is for future implementation, adding as a placeholder here, splitting out from bug 1015491.

Also from bug 1015491 comment 6: If I have multiple confirmed identities, then I either send all of these identities to the server when I register, or (more likely) I send my FxA identity and the server can loop up my other identities based on that one identity. The Loop server then knows that any calls for any of those identities are to be routed to this client.

Given the current change of focus for Hello (bug 1209713), and that I filed this bug, I think this is a wontfix currently. There wouldn't be any significant user benefit to joining accounts at the moment.
