Just a small idea discussed a few weeks back in one of the weekly meetings. We might consider a brief (< 5min) screen cast of Sheriff use of Treeherder for first-time user, to help them understand Treeherder/TBPL concepts. This could be recorded and embedded in the project Wiki. In particular covering: - what it is used for - some of the UI elements and why they are present (eg. suggested bugs) - an example workflow (eg. a job classification) As an example, this was done for a few Mozmill components like Jenkins a few years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_YiIiJJyeo The only risk is if Treeherder undergoes significant UI change in the short term, the screencast could fall out of date. Perhaps we'd want to wait until some outstanding UI bugs are resolved first and Sheriffs are comfortable things have sufficiently settled.

Treeherder definitely should have better in-app docs, but I think a video/how-to is more specific to sheriffing workflow, and so something the sheriffs need to own, if we still want to do it.
