In OSX (10.9) the 3 buttons in the top left of the browser are blurry on a retina screen. This happens with the dark theme. It's clear that they are not high resolution. It's fine in other versions of the browser so I bet this would be easy to fix?

That's surprising - can you confirm that it's high res when you flip browser.devedition.theme.enabled to false on that build? Also, can you apply a dark lw theme like https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/just-black/ and see if you see the same thing?

Ok, I see. They are the same high-res graphics as normal. But they look a little blurrier on the dark background at first because there's a bit of a fade-out around them that is a lot more noticeable. I think mainly it's the top-half of the circles. It would look a lot better if the top-half of the circles were more of a crisp line.
That may be a big job to replace them though, so this can be a low-priority thing. It's crazy how different something can look between a light/dark background.

Yes, I've noticed this with quite a few other things and have been filing bugs for fixing them on dark lightweight themes.
Could you upload screenshots comparing normal vs a dark lightweight theme?

Here's a screenshot. I think it's the fact that the buttons have a dark highlight around the top of the circle which gives it depth, and gives a distinct separation from the light titlebar. In a dark theme, it makes it look washed out because it blends in the titlebar. They need a light highlight around the top instead of a dark one.
