Build a prototype of the 'disruptive' EOY snippet. More info in Bug 1079535.
Some of the designs are built around dynamic data. Let's clarify the line between possible to build and impossible. (The design bug will discuss whether these things are a good idea or violating privacy issues. No need to worry about here.)

Scenario 1 - After making a donation, donor can email friends with a CTA. CTA leads the friend to a page that looks like about:home. This page displays a personalized message. "Simon left you a Mozilla gift." Can we do this given the technical limits on the snippet, BSD, etc?

Scenario 2 - Before making a donation, visitor sees a message like, "I donated to support privacy - Matthew." Visitor is moved to tears and then adds a note about why they're donating _before_ they click donate. Message lands in queue for review (google spreadsheet?). Messages flagged as good by comms team are added to the array of messages displayed in about:home.

I've flagged Brian for info given his experience with the previous snippet.

Trying to get this to the top of inboxes. Brian, are you able to give feedback on this?

Matthew, can you attach a higher resolution envelope image that's not rotated at all?

I've attached all the resolution. ai vectors. Let me know if you want eps or svg instead.

Gavin -- nice work with the js physics last week.

What's your feeling about the feasibility of going this route? Of doing something very visually compelling within the limits we have? kb, time, etc?

I few thoughts on the aesthetics -- The envelopes could fall more gently and hint at a little wind or sideways motion in their initial trajectory. Would also be nice if they fell from random spots across the top instead of the center. They might have a little more bounce at the bottom (cartoony) or no bounce (realistic). A very subtle x/y compression or z pivot would be great.

I know it's crazy complicated to do motion well -- we're spoiled by high budget movies and projects all around us. Let's evaluate whether it's possible given our scope.

I can certainly tweak this with some of that feedback. I think the more complex part of this snippet is actually going to be integration with some kind of backend for persisting and surfacing user comments.

I can give the envelopes some horizontal velocity to simulate wind. I can also change the bounciness up or down. There's not too much you can do to stylize the bounce animation since it's an engine based on traditional physics. I did play around with a bunch of properties and what I showed was what I felt looked best, but I can work on some alternatives...

As we move to deprecate the Webmaker Product from Bugzilla, I'm going to close down this issue, which hasn't seen activity in a very long time.

If more work is required here, please re-file this in an appropriate Product/Component/Github Issue.
