When a user uses a credit card, it becomes locked to that user. Its then not possible to use that credit card with another user. This trips our QA and testing developers all the time who need to use this feature to be able to test that purchases work under different circumstances.

This is also a concern for us with Firefox Accounts, where in users are being asked to make a new account to login to the site with. If that happens they made end up with a different email address. In the future, they might be able to change that email address, when that happens, a new account will be created in marketplace and their credit card is locked to the old account.

In Cambridge, Keir said it might be something that we can relax or alter, so this bug is for that request.

Some other things to note:

* in bango zendesk ticket 33760 it was changed so "In this case credit cards that haven't been used for more than 3 months will be removed from our database", does this affect fraud checking?
* could there be a more nuanced way to detect fraud? eg. allow 2 or 3 cards per user?
* we don't really have a good way to ask for support on this issue, other than a user asks mozilla, we ask bango and so on. I don't think its appropriate for Bango to be front line support for this issue, maybe an API to request removal for a user?
Any update on this?

This is annoying for testing, do you think this is a blocker for Disney and the launch of their product?
Possibly not. Of course, if their QA tries to use one CC# between different email accounts, they're going to run into this the hard way.

It would be preferential to have a more specific error that your card is locked to another FxA account, if Bango provides the technical visibility into that specific issue. Is there another contact within Bango that we can assign this bug to?
How does Bango manage to lock the CC# to an account even when the user explicitly opts of saving their CC details?

Can we keep this open until we actually have configured the credit card policies as Bango allows?
