From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.7 [en] (Win98; I) BuildID: I attempted upgraded to Netscape 6.1 but all my jpeg icons now appear as the Netscape icon. The Netscape people told me to uninstall the 'mozilla' but I can't figure out how to uninstall it. Can you send me a link to be able to unstall mozilla? Thanks, Mitchell - Houston mitchellwu99@hotmail.com Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Netscape icons have replaced jpeg icons - unable to open jpeg files 2. 3.
You don't need to "uninstall Mozilla". Go to Edit->Preferences->Advanced- >System, and you'll see a list of file types associated with Netscape. Uncheck the box next to "JPEG" and anything else you don't want to be opened by Netscape automatically. This should solve your problem. (Also, Netscape 6.2 has been released.)
Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Mozilla (0.9.5), Add/Remove. This will work for any mozilla/netscape6.x (or any windows 9x logo certifyable application -- iirc) that you installed using the installer. Out of curiosity, what were jpeg icons before they were netscape logos?
The suggestions are appropriate; marking WFM. Reporter: Please reopen this bug if the steps don't work for you.
