The QA saies the possibility is 100%, but it is low probability for sp7715 and it is lower for flame1.4 in my situation, only reproduced once on flame1.4.

I'm not sure I can help here.

I'm not too sure what's going on here, it looks like some weirdness with the top browser bar, causing the page to scroll back up?

TBH - I'm not too familiar with v1.4 browser code, so I'm redirecting the ni? to ben/botond as they might have more info here.

Also - I had quite a difficult time viewing this video. If you guys also have trouble, there is a link to download the video at the top of the screen.

The URL is supposed to expand whenever you load a new web page. It's difficult to tell from just the video but it seems like a new URL is being loaded as you scroll for some reason.

I haven't been able to reproduce the behaviour shown in the video in 2.0.

Based on the video, the symptoms are reminiscent of bugs in APZ code for synchronizing the scroll offset between the content process and the compositor. Such bugs have resulted in the scroll offset erroneously jumping up to (0, 0) from time to time.

Kats, do you happen to recall any such bugs whose fixes aren't on the 1.4 branch? A quick look through fixed APZ bugs brings up bug 969455 and bug 980679, but both are fixed on the 1.4 branch.

In the meantime, I'll kick off a 1.4 build to try to reproduce.

Hi botond,

STR:
1. Open Wifi and the Browser app.
2. Enter into website 'www.baidu.com', click "图片" button, enter into "http://image.baidu.com/"
3. Input "美女" to the search box, search it.
4. When some pictures appear on a web page, close wifi
5. Open wifi again
6. Slide down on the web page

It is easier to reproduce this issue.

It does look something like that. It might also be completely unrelated - for example it might be a change in the DOM or JS engine that causes a content script to call window.scrollTo to happen on 1.4 but not on newer codelines.

I would advise against that. Unless this bug is marked as 1.4 blocker I don't think we can really afford to spend time digging into this. If it's not a 1.4 blocker it won't get fixed regardless and if it is then we should get QA to repro and get a fix window for whichever version it was fixed in.

Good point, I won't look into it now then. I do have a 1.4 build handy in case it is marked as a 1.4 blocker.
