The Link HTTP header does not appear to work in Linux nightly build 2001110815. The URL listed above sends a Link header to point to a stylesheet, configured in Apache as follows, but no access to the webserver is made to load the linked file. Header append Link "rel=\"stylesheet\";href=\"test.css\";type=\"text/css\";title=\"Frame-like stylesheet\"" A similar Link header to take advantage of the customized page icon support introduced in bug 32087 also fails to work (I've disabled this header for the present time to minimize the test case). Header append Link "rel=\"icon\"; href=\"/~peterj/P-icon\"; type=\"image/png\"" This might be a regression of bug 3248. Other bugs suggest that stylesheets via Link: should work, although I can't find a specific bug that says they do (or don't).
This is not a Networking:HTTP bug... we already provide clients with access to all response headers. Support for this header would probably need to be handled someplace in layout or content. -> layout

Link should work for stylesheets of HTML documents (and does, in my investigations with a recent build), but hasn't been implemented for XML documents, icon support or the link toolbar. Note that you are using the wrong syntax. It should be: Header append Link "<test.css>; rel=\"stylesheet\"; type=\"text/css\"; title=\"Frame-like stylesheet\""
OK, with the syntax change the stylesheet works. (I'm not sure where I got the original syntax, as it's absolutely clear in RFC 2068.) Icons don't show up with |Link: <URL>; rel="icon"; type="mime/type"|, but that's obviously not related to this (invalid) bug report.

icons only get displayed in the url bar for now.
Did anyone notice that if you do a view-source of: http://peterjanes.homeip.net/~peterj/test.html the source has a gray background behind it? Whis is view-source taking info from the http header for styling? Why is view-source being styled at all? Is that a bug? Is it reported already? jake
