User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/38.0.2125.111 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
1. Installed Windows 7 32bits on a HP ProBook 4520s laptop with its recovery partition;
2. Installed Thunderbird 31.2.0 Portuguese (Portugal) version;
3. Created a new IMAP account;
4. Clicked on the button "Editar diretórios..." (Edit Directories...), under "Entereçamento" (Addressing) tab, under "Composição" (Composition) section of Thunderbird options;
Actual results:
A window pops up with the following error message:
Erro na análise do XML: erro ao processar a referência à entidade externa
Localização: chrome://messenger/content/addressbook/pref-editdirectories.xul
Número da linha 8, Coluna 83:
<!DOCTYPE dialog SYSTEM "chrome://messenger/locale/addressbook/pref-directory.dtd">
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------^
Expected results:
A window should have popped up where LDAP directories can be added. I installed the English (USA) version, and the window opens as expected.

(It's a pt-PT bug, not pt-BR)
It seems "<!-- ***** BEGIN LICENSE BLOCK *****" should be removed:
http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-beta/pt-PT/file/2fe2ecf4944a/mail/chrome/messenger/addressbook/pref-directory.dtd

I can't reproduce the problem so I think the issue has been solved.
Thank you for reporting this.

Is this the latest version on the website? I just tried a fresh installation (38.3.0 PT-pt) and I can definitely reproduce the problem.

I've tried with Thunderbird 41 beta 1 pt-PT (64 bits) on Linux (https://download.mozilla.org/?product=thunderbird-41.0b1&os=linux64&lang=pt-PT).
Thanks for the info. I tried version 41 on Windows and I confirm that the problem is gone.

Thank you for letting us know. If you find any other bugs, you can report them to be fixed on this release. There are some typos on the build you used which are already fixed for the next build.
If you have any suggestion to improve the localization, you can do it at http://mozilla.locamotion.org/pt/. Visit the http://mozilla.pt/ website for more information.
Cheers
