It's a follow-up of bug 1058116, see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1058116#c16. That bug changed the arguments that openURIInFrame was called. It used to be called with aOpener that was always set to null. Now it's called with aParams = {referrer, isPrivate}. openURIInFrame basically calls http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/5999e92e89ff/mobile/android/chrome/content/browser.js#l3066 which always does the check for truthiness of aOpener (which in case of openURIInFrame was always null). Pass the new information to _getBrowser.
