Description: With camera app open, if user leaves camera flash on and connects through USB with USB sharing enabled, the Camera flash will stay on. Repro Steps: 1) Update a Flame device to BuildID: 20141105001204 2) Open camera app and leave the flash on 3) Go to settings and enable USB sharing 4) Go back to camera app and connect the device to a computer through USB 5) Observe the Camera flash Actual: Camera flash remains on Expected: Camera flash turns off Environmental Variables: Device: Flame 2.1 (319mb) KK Shallow Flash BuildID: 20141105001204 Gaia: 154da5e17029a51002d5d9b7df39563d509edde6 Gecko: 3b0c3580a58d Version: 34.0 (2.1) Firmware: V188-1 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:34.0) Gecko/34.0 Firefox/34.0 Notes: Can't get logcat since test requires USB to be plugged in prior Repro frequency: 3/3 See attached: Video http://youtu.be/nbVVcrwgKiY
This issue also occurs on Flame 2.0 and Flame 2.2 Result: The camera flash will remain on Flame 2.0 Device: Flame 2.0 (319mb)(Kitkat Base)(Shallow Flash) BuildID: 20141105000201 Gaia: fe2167fa5314c7e71c143a590914cbf3771905a8 Gecko: 093de6b632c5 Version: 32.0 (2.0) Firmware: V188-1 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:32.0) Gecko/32.0 Firefox/32.0 Flame 2.2 Device: Flame 2.2(319mb)(KitKat)(Shallow Flash) BuildID: 20141105040206 Gaia: 7c9e7cabbde941b976e0e40a3a1d94e21aa9c5e9 Gecko: 62990ec7ad78 Version: 36.0a1 (2.2 Master) Firmware: V188-1 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:36.0) Gecko/36.0 Firefox/36.0

This seems like it could be very bad, as the user wont know the flash is on until they pick up the phone. This could cause heating issues. NI Camera owner about a blocking decision

So in this scenario, the flash is on if the camera app is enabled, flash is set to enabled, and video mode is on, and the USB is connected. The screen will show that camera app cannot be used because the USB storage is enabled, so there is no feedback on whether the flash is on. My opinion is that it's not blocking for 2.1, since the camera app needs to be explicitly triggered, and the flash needs to be explicitly turned on, before this happens, which would require the user to pick up the phone to notice the flash. And since the camera apps is running at the time, it is normal for the flash to be on if it was enabled in video mode. It would be a good improvement if we add this feature to the later version, but don't think it's urgent. I'll also ni? Diego for his feedback in case I missed something.
