User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0
Build ID: 20141103144234
Steps to reproduce:
Going to https://accounts.firefox.com/ - it shows the white box in the middle and then stops there. The Developer console shows:
"SecurityError: The operation is insecure."
The expected result is that it shows the login <input> boxes, Firefox logo etc.
I haven't figured out what's the reason on the JS server side. However, on the Firefox browser side, it is related to bug 1028153. This bug is for the server side.
Namely, if I try to access that page with Firefox 34/beta and my cooky settings, it fails. Those are: "Use custom settings for history" with [x] Remeber browsing and download history / [x] Remember search and form history / [x] Accept cookies from sites / Accept third-party cookies [from visited] / Keep until [ask me every time].
If I set it to "Remember history", the result will show up again.

Actual error message:
SecurityError: The operation is insecure. 1da513a8.main.js:14
Additionally filled Firefox bug 1094655 for exactly that issue.

(The firefox bug for localStorage not working when cookies pref is set to “ask me every time” is bug 748620.)

This is similar to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1093915#c4. The root cause of both is access to localStorage is disabled.

Tobias, is this still a problem for you? We should at least display a "cookies disabled" page.

IIRC we've shipped some improved logic for handling this case, and we haven't received confirmation of whether this still occurs. I'm going to go ahead and close it out, but please feel free to re-open if it's still an issue.
